February is Heart Health Month

For many years, a heart-healthy diet has been associated with limiting sodium and fat, but the latest guidelines from the American Heart Association (AHA) now include limiting ADDED sugar as well. People’s Choice Award – Wimberley Winter Wonderland

Angels for Elders recently participated in the First Annual WWW Event and won the People’s Choice Reward for favorite tree.   This event showcases Christmas Trees, Wreaths and Table Arrangements in a fun family friendly setting at the Wimberley Community Center.  Participants get to wander through the wonderland, enjoy refreshments, watch live entertainment and visit with the Santa Claus provided by the Sheriff’s Department Brown Santa Program! Be sure to add this exciting event to your calendar for next year!

Golden Age Assisted Living Christmas

                        We had a great time hosting bingo for the Golden Age Residents while the staff went to their annual Christmas Party.  Just look at those Santa’s Helpers calling bingo and delivering goodies!   Thank you to the volunteers who later helped the residents back to their rooms and wished them a Very Merry Christmas!
